Affirm Mike Tussey for Elder

Many of you have already had the opportunity to get to know Mike and Mary Tussey. We believe Mike to be an upstanding member of our congregation who embodies biblical values and lives his faith through his service to our community. He would be a valuable asset to our church leadership. We have asked Mike to serve on our board of elders and he has taken the first step by accepting our offer and attending meetings for the past year. The last step is to gain your input and formal approval through a congregational vote.

This Sunday, church members have the opportunity to affirm Mike Tussey as elder.

How to vote (church members only):
In church using ballots available at the rear of the sanctuary. Ask Mrs. Debbie Voight to show you where they are.

Call or text Pastor Greg at 740-503-8384 or Jen (secretary) at 305-699-4595
If you are a member of LUBC, you are invited to affirm or not affirm Mike Tussey

Mike and his wife Mary have been attending United Brethren Church’s for 11 years. They have worked feeding the homeless in Columbus and Mike is currently on the Fairfield County board of The Recovery Center working with the addicted. Mike and Mary have been residents of Fairfield County since 1979. He  enjoys watching his grandchildren play sports. He is also restoring a 1979 Chevrolet truck.
Mike’s career in law enforcement goes back to 1977 when the Columbus native got a part-time position with Junction City Police Department. He later worked for the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office, the Lancaster Police Department and the Westerville Police Department.
He stayed with Westerville for about 20 years before taking his current position in 2007 in Baltimore.
